Your Responsibilities

You will teach students in music, where you are responsible for planning and implementing lessons as well as assessing students' knowledge. You will work closely with your colleagues in the music subject. The aesthetic program in music at Carlforsska Gymnasium also has an extensive concert activity within the education, and you should be prepared to work in the evenings. An important part of the position is to be a mentor for a class in collaboration with a colleague. You will also work with value-based education according to the curriculum. Working as a teacher is about constantly developing based on the students we meet and capturing their interests to create good and challenging teaching. It is also about documenting students' learning to enable them to reach their goals.

To ensure that our students feel safe and well. Above all, we must never forget to find joy in our work and that we are there for the students.

Your Competence

We are looking for a certified upper secondary school teacher with the qualification to teach music and have bass as the main instrument and singing as a secondary instrument or good instrumental skills in these subjects. It is also advantageous if you have experience in conducting choirs, can teach music theory, ensemble, and music production. You have good skills in handling computers and technical aids in teaching, as well as interest and commitment to the target group. Experience working as a teacher in upper secondary school is an advantage for the position.

You take great responsibility for your work, drive processes forward, and work in an organized manner. At the same time, you are flexible and see opportunities in changes. With your creative and innovative ability, you contribute new ideas and methods that develop teaching. You also have strong collaborative skills and a pedagogical understanding that allows you to adapt your communication to both students and colleagues.
